Blue Heeler Dogs

In Memory of Leo

I buried one of my best friends this morning. The fact that he couldn't talk never meant that I didn't know what he was thinking. We spent 17 years together and at no time did we ever feel like we weren't supposed to be together. If there ever was a one in a million dog this was it he took the place of two hired men and never complained about the job he was expected to do. Even in his failing state the last few months you knew he wanted to be out there biting some heels. Leo was one of a kind and the mold was broke. There are no words that can express the way I felt about this animal. He was more human than anyone will ever know. Rest easy ol' pard and look grandpa up there in heaven and you and him can sit by the garden and watch the cucumbers grow. I miss ya man!
